Pampers' Talk

Earlier today my 3-year-old nephew asked,

“Auntie, why do people die?”

Good Lord. How do you answer that? How do you explain death to a little boy so young, that he is yet to even speak properly. Goodness sake, he still calls my mother Pu Mak, instead of Tok Mak!

Last time I read, kids were still asking questions like “where do babies come from?” What is he, another Old Soul in a new Life?

I was stunned. I couldn’t answer his question, so I bought him Sugus instead.

I change my mind about having kids.

On a lighter note, I’d like to express my gratitude to the thief who pick pocketed my father’s mobile phone in front of Masjid al Haram in Mecca. I have no doubt that you will rot in hell for committing a sin in no other than the Holy City itself, but in buying a replacement phone for himself, Papa got me a new phone too. And this could not have happened had it not been for you. So thank you. And please pray hard for forgiveness.

Excuse me while I go play with my new Sony Ericsson toy, and leave my dearest twin sisters to sulk in envy.

NOKIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 4 year old son asked me on the phone that day, "Emmmm, what are you thinking about papa?".

I smiled and said, "I am thinking about you Hasief!". A more straight forward answer than yours but the implications are great.... he is starting to think and I better be on my toes :)

Stubborn: My transition from Nokia to Sony Ericsson has not been smooth! Am taking deeeeeep breath, and keep telling myself that a change is never an easy thing!

Yes, you need to be on your toes about Hasief! I'll just be cool Auntie Arysa who buys them food to stuff into their mouth and shut them up!
